review Haunting of Blye Manor

I watched the second season by Mike Flanagan.  The first season was called Haunting of Hill House. The second is called the haunting of Blye Manor.

Both are made by Mike Flanagan, the guy who also made Oculus, ouija, origin of evil, doctor sleep. The guy knows his stuff and he proves it here as well. Where Haunting of hill house was pure horror, the haunting of Blye Manor is more Gothic romance with horror elements in it.

Like Haunting of Hill House, its a slow build up, but the payoff is amazing and heartbreaking. Its theme is forbidden love. The characters feel real. Not standard for these type of things.
But another theme that shows up like in the first season was that ghosts are stuck to a place and one ghost can act like a black hole to other spirits.
Like in Haunting of Hill House they have hidden ghosts through the season in various scenes. Can you spot them? It’s harder this time.

The story of Haunting of Blye Manor is as followed: a American nanny goes to Blye Manor to take care of some kids, a boy and a girl. Some disturbing stuff start to happen as you find out the pasts of the manor, aswell as the nanny and the family. Giving you more would ruin it. I would recommend it for those who can appreciate it. Just dont go in expecting the same like Haunting of Hill House. Than you would be disappointed.
