The Netflix show Kingdom is a Korean tv show. It’s a political horror thriller set during the Joseon dynasty of Korea. It follows the crown Prince Lee Chang who stumbles on a political conspiracy while investigating a mysterious disease.
We follow 4 people. Lee Chang and his bodyguard Mu-Yeong, a healer Seo-bi and a tiger hunter Yeoshin.
Set three years after the Japanese invasion was rebuffed, a power hungry clan sets its eyes on the throne and want to remove Lee Chang.
It’s a good show. With 6 episodes and each episode about 50 minutes long, there is enough time for character development and the Story to progress.
The mysterious illness turns out to be zombies. They are not the kind you see on the walking dead. In fact they are much faster than their waking dead counterparts.they were able to put a fresh spin on the zombies. I’m not going to spoil it here. They were able to keep it more original than most zombie movies that come out. The gore is mild here. In that they have held back a bit on the carnage.
At the moment there are two seasons of this show. I’m a fan. I hope that they will be able to complete their story. It would be. A shame to not been able to not been able to finish telling this story.
the story moves along on a nice pace.The acting is top notch here. Sets, wardrobe and music are well done here. I can recommend this show to any zombie fan out there.
