Today That day is more important than ever. Workers rights are everywhere onder attack. Now with the global pandemic, it’s been used to further undermine workers rights. They want people to question to validity of unions as something that is outdated. The truth is that today now more than ever, we need unions more than ever to protect the rights of workers everywhere. More so, they want people to accept that cuts in their paychecks are needed to save the company, while in most cases its not about saving the company because there are companies who have done well for themselves, even during this pandemic. No, its about saving the profit margins that has to go up,so the shareholders can get their money, while the people who create the wealth are left with scraps.

The 1st of may is also important to protect not only workers rights but also the right to strike when needed. Lately striking has been more common because of the refusal of employers to listen or to even willing to compromise.
