Disturbing as this is, a trained soldier with far right sympathies and ties, was able to take heavy weapons from the depot and disappear. Even though he was on the list of potential dangerous persons. 

While he had more than one target in mind, they still haven’t found him.Worse than that, he gets massive support from Flemish people who want to see him get help for his problems and don’t think it’s fair that he gets this treatment. 

His girlfriend went -unrecognised- on tv to tell how kind and loving he is, that she wants it to end. 

Picture this: a potential terrorist who is described as loving, kind, likes to snuggle, etc…

imagine the family of  suicide bomber saying this? Nobody would believe it. And it would be correct to do so. Nobody would plan marches for them. Yet, this is what happening for this soldier. 

He hasn’t killed anyone that we know off. 

Yet, he gets massive support. If immigrants would support terrorists, they would the first to say that these people needs to be removed. A potential terrorist: shoot them death. A white terrorist, please save his life. He needs help. This is insane. This soldier has become a icon, for the mishandeling of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is further fuelled by both the media and far right parties like VB and NV-A.

Instead of further fuelling the flames and trying to find out how and why, they look for scapegoats. Easy prey for people to blame everything on. In this case, its the victimisation of a potential terrorist, something that would never happen if the man was a muslim. There wouldn\”t be any support groups on FB. There wouldn\”t be any support marches for them. 

Don\”t get me wrong. If there was an armed muslim terrorist on the lose, i wouldn\”t sympathisize with him either. Nor will i do that for J.C.But if we as a society will allow that individuals could get shot for voicing a opinion,even if its one you don\”t like, than we are in trouble. I think every supporter of JC needs to realize this. If they have a loved one, co-worker, friend that has a different opinion or ideology than them, would they be ok with it if that person replaces MVR?

While the far right uses this crisis to pitch people against each other further and further undermine the solving of this crisis, we need to take a stand against this. Not by removing those who support JC from their lives, but by engaging them in a debate and put it where it belongs by asking them the question if they were ok with it if someone they know and love would be in MVR place? Now, he is a public figure, the spokeperson for covid managment and the virologists. It would make it easier because its far away from them. 

Since the far right likes to play on emotion, while lets play it on their rules for a change. Lets make it personal for them by simply stating what if MVR was replaced by someone they know and loved? I wonder if they would still be ok by it. I don\”t want to attack those people. I want them to understand what is going, what is happening right now. I don\”t know if this is the right method to go about it? I really don\”t. But we have to do something, otherwise we are heading down a dark path, that resembles the one we already walked during the 20\”s and 30\”s of the 20th century. 

Most might not be aware that its the far right, along with the mainstream media, pulling the strings here. The mainstream media might not be a active accomplice here, because they do it out of greed. It would be one thing, if the media activly tried to undermine the far right, by countering any facts that they put out there. But they don\”t even do that. They go along with it, like its normal what they are saying. This has been going on for years now. 

These things help create a climate where far right profits from it and creates people like JC.
