Zeus, King of the Gods and mankind, Ruler of Universe and Olympos. Holy Kronid, brother to Poseidon, Aidoneos, Hera, Demeter, Hestia, Husband to Hera, Queen of the Gods, Olympos & the Universe. You defeated the Titans with the help of your siblings and Cyclops. You who defeated Typhon and the Gigantes, after Gaia summoned them to defeat you and your rule. You, who fathered Pallas Athena, the twins Apollon & Artemis, Hephaistos, Hebe, Eileitheya, Hermes, Dionysos, Ares & Herakles, the greatest hero of all time, born to You and a mortal woman Alkmene.
Through You, the world got to know your children both with Goddesses and with mortal women. You brough us the Muses, who inspire poets, musicians, writers, scientists. You who makes everything tremble when You arrive. You are not a cruel God. You are stern when You need be. You give counsil when needed and guide people on their path. You who instill a sense of justice in people and the need to fight injustice.
I want to honour You, holy Kronid with this hymn. Be gracious, all-seeing Son of Kronos, most excellent and great!
