Aphrodite, goddess of sexuality and love

Goddess of reproduction,

ally of lovers seeking love.

Born from foam when the genitals of Father Ouranos

touched the sea,

All people want to honor you when seeking love

Those who betray their partner when cheating,

will feel the sting of your wrath

Finding love is always difficult

and full of hurdles

pain, rejection, are all part of it.

Love is the gift You gave the universe.

Romantic love is not for everyone.

You give your blessings, but

you can easily take them away as well.

Note: this is the first time that i wrote a hymn to Aphrodite. Is it perfect? no. Far from it. Its my first attempt to do so, with a Goddess with whom I don’t have any connection with. Its not meant to be literary peace of art. Its meant as a means of dedication to the Goddess. I didn’t know how to end it. Sometimes endings are hard. I welcome any tips might have to do this better?
