As oktober comes to a close, I dedicated this month to learning more about Nyx and Erebos, the Protogenoi of Night and Darkness. I have learned new things about Nyx, but Erebos remains an obscure deity like most Protogenoi are. So learning more about Him was harder than with Nyx. Still, I did enjoy my time contemplating about Them and I do enjoy more morning runs now more than ever when it’s still dark out when I go start jogging around 6:30 in the morning. I find peace and tranquility in the cover of night and darkness. I will try to include Them in my offerings. I can highly recommend diving into devotional activities to these Gods.

Normally I would do this on the 31st of oktober, but I did libations to the Gods Nyx, Erebos, Hekate, Plouton and Persephone tonight. I prayed to Them, offered Them libations into a bowl (I’m at home and i don’t have a pit available to pour it into) and concluded with the orphic hymns to these deities. I think one is supposed to to do first the orphic hymns before the libations, but that is the order I did it in and I can only hope that They accepted these libations.
