This is something I wanted to do for a while now. I discussed it with Sannion and he gave me some pointers as well as the name for this festival. Thank you Sannion for your input and advice. It was appreciated. This festival is designed to honour Plouton when He is married and reunited with his wife Persephone. This takes place around the same time as Halloween. If you want, you can make it last 4 days with Hekate being the last one on the 4th night to be honoured.
The idea behind is to honour Plouton and show my dedication to Him by creating this festival. Not to mention to pay hommage to the people who have died, both people you directly you knew or the ones who died during the world wars as a way to honour them. For me He is a very important God next Zeus, Nyx and Erebos. I love all the Gods but these are the ones that stand out from the rest.
First night 30/10
light the candles and let them extinguish. Preferably all black candles, to honour Hekate and Thanatos. Recite hymns: Orphic and/or Homeric. Offer incense and libations to Them. Visit a cemetery and reminisce about the people in your life whom you have lost and were taken in the arms of Thanatos or the ones who died during the world wars or recent wars. Recite a prayer, meditate, perhaps using the epithets, names of the Gods. Conclude it by offering libation of water into the soil.
Second night, 31/10
light ordinary candles, offer incense and libations to Kronos & Rhea, but first honour the Goddess Hestia. Recite hymns and read myths concerning Them.
On the third night 01/11
we honour the Gods Plouton and Persephone as they are reunited. Light pure black candles, Offer thanks to the coming winter, recite the names and titles of the Gods before offering incense and libations to Them. Read the hymns as well read and meditate on the myth of the abduction of Persephone by Hades. go visit a cemetery or a park by night and take into the view while meditating what coming of winter means and the marriage of these two Gods.
conclude it by saying thank you to the Gods.
Because this is for solitary practitioner, it seems solitary. But it can be adjusted to include others burn effigies, depending on your location of course. in an appartement it could be unwise to burn a effigy, but if you can do it outside, why not.
Thoughts, suggestions or tips are always welcome.
